Bullying is a natural behaviour. You learn it when you are a baby. It’s how you survive. As a baby you do not have much available to you as far as language goes. All you can do is cry when you are unhappy and smile and look cute when you are happy.

When you cry you get attention and someone often comes along and fixes the problem for you. If you are hungry you get food. If you need changing, you get changed. So pretty quickly you learn that crying works. And that’s fine when you are that young and don’t have any other language to help you.

Hypnosis happens so many times each day but they probably feel natural for us. It is an altered experience of consciousness to reconfigure our imagination. Hypnosis is a natural state that occurs when we feel so relaxed that you get stuck in a dream. In this trance, you will probably still be aware of what’s happening around you and you can still remember them once you become conscious again.

From an employee point of view professional development is about further learning to lengthen and enhance your career skill set. For an employer professional development is about ensuring employees have the knowledge and enthusiasm to do their job in the best possible way. Companies and individuals benefit from professional development but as it is usually companies who bare the time and financial cost, they need to weigh up the pros and cons.
