The first five minutes of “The Two Towers,” the second movie of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, is as exciting as any film segment I’ve ever seen.
Having just battled an army of evil orcs and goblins, Gandalf the wizard is weary beyond description.  His small group of adventurers is almost through the perilous Mines of Moria when they encounter an evil long since forgotten in the world of men—a demon-like monster of the deep called a Balrog.
In a heroic standoff Gandalf casts the monster into the deep crevice over which they battle.  As the monster falls, he snares Gandalf’s leg with his whip and drags him downward into the seemingly bottomless pit.
It is then we see the measure of Gandalf’s courage.  Plummeting to his death (he can only assume) with the very embodiment of evil at his side, what is his only thought?  Self-preservation?  Sentimental thoughts of loved ones left behind?  No.  His only thought is ridding the world of this inherent evil that he battles.
In a free-fall through the bowels of the earth, he reaches for his sword. Grasping its handle he seizes the horrific monster that topples into oblivion with him and commences to strike the hideous beast—all the while plunging to his death.
What courage!  To battle one’s enemy when all hope for one’s own safety is lost!
Real life usually isn’t anywhere close to that dramatic but it does get pretty exciting sometimes, doesn’t it?  The bills are due and there is no money coming in.  The deadline looms near and you haven’t even started the project.  The sales quota is unreachable.  The finances are out of control.  The relationship is irreparable.
It is in times such as these when courage is needed most.  Anyone can affect courage when no danger threatens.  It is not courage to feel no fear when the sun is shining and the crops are in.
The truly courageous are those who battle on in the face of utter destruction—who, though they are weary, worn, weak and yes, even afraid, grasp their swords and do their duty.
What task lies before you now that make your heart quake?  Will you face that task and fulfill your calling, or will you hide and hope for better times?  I believe within each individual lies the heart of a hero that only needs to be awakened by exercising the power of choice.  Choose today to exhibit the courage that lies within you, and become the hero you were designed to be.

MODE Of Cosmic Therapy: Follow That Esoteric Node!

“A time and place for all things” so the scriptures say. When one is born, the time, circumstances and place determine the rest of the story of one’s upcoming life. Some might say that astrology does a partially effective job of delineating those particular aspects in a person’s life. One of those indicators, according to professional astrologers would be to: FOLLOW THAT NODE. Should you be interested and so inclined, you can investigate the possibilities associated with your particular node. Astrology is a fascinating subject, that requires a lifetime to begin to master but for pure entertainment, it provides a great deal of conversational material.

I have an interesting article for you to read this month.
From the Financial Times UK of may last year.

Check this out.
Henry Weingarten, a US fund manager looks to the stars.
Weingarten is a financial astrologer who uses planetary movements to predict the perforamce of currencies, indicies and other assets such as commodities.

The world of astrological charting may seem unconvential but, according to Weingarten, it is a much more commonly used device than you might expect.

“There are some very well known names using astrology.
There are a few major fund managers and investment banks in the US and Europe that use it as one of their tools.
More so in India and China which has becoming increasingly important for money flows.”

Creativity in adults fosters unique ideas and helps in the home and workplace.  Creative adults are an asset to employers because they have ideas that others don’t have and are highly sought after in places like hospitals, schools, and in leadership positions.  While creativity is important in adults, it is equally important in children.  Just think how effective our schools would be given most of the students and teachers were able to think independently and think through ideas on their own without outside interjection.  Creative students are often smarter than students whose parents do not expose them to the arts or to innovative ideas.

If you’re looking for motivational quotes for athletes, you’re reading the right article. Of all the people in the world, athletes are the ones who seem to understand the concept of motivation more than anyone else. After all, they wake up each morning trying to beat their own records.

Sometimes, however, their coach’s so-called motivational speech loses its effectiveness. It’s a good thing that there are motivational quotes for athletes who are in need of encouragement.

Contortion of thoughts leads towards a dead end. Just like a train suddenly changes its track automatically without intimation, without knowing where this track leads to. Consequently it all ends up with a tragic accident leaving behind casualties. Some survivors find their remaining life boxed with fear, uncertainity and horrible memories. So a question arises how did it happen?  How a train changed its tracks? Though a driver was there aware of his destination. Of course it’s his duty to take control any time train goes off the track. What would have happened? Driver might have been sleeping; he might have lost his focus, what else can be guessed? But in my opinion there must be a salient reason, he might have been day dreaming full of fantasies resulting the train stuck against odds.

Like many of you, I recently joined the Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn craze and it’s been great. I’ve re-connected with old friends from high school, college, and my fighter pilot days, and I’ve also met some very interesting people. And yes – like you, I can easily spend a few hours a day on these sites checking out profiles and looking at cool videos and photos.

If you want to gain success in life, then you have to take action. Most people don’t achieve any success life due to the lack of action.

Think about your dreams and your future goals. Decide and plan your weekly, monthly, yearly goals. Figure out where you want to be in next five years. What do you want to leave behind in this world after you leave? In order to become something, you will have to make your goals high and challenge yourself to achieve them.

Any incident can trigger our negativity. Our sub-conscious stores all our experiences, some nice and others not so nice. Our thinking patterns are triggered whenever we encounter events or situations that have something in common with the past when our thinking was shaped. We often hear these words in our heads: “Because my parents said no”, “Because my teacher said no”, “Because the government said no”, “I’m never going to be able to have that house because I can’t afford it”, and so on.

When we say to ourselves we want something that will make us happy, almost right away the opposite thought comes in and cancels that nice thought out. Sounds familiar?
