Lake Park, FL May 11, 2009 – When was the last time you felt happy? Do you jump on the bandwagon of “negativity” or surround yourself with positive people? Even in a bad economy, there still remains hope at the end of the day where we can turn to those people who bring us joy in something we have a love for. A place where we can share our experiences, favorite movies, or just make new friends from all over the world. It will be a learning experience that is new, refreshing and will bring enjoyment with no cost but to bring human beings together as one talking about their favorite subjects…..themselves!

Mental State.  What does that really mean?  We always hear that successful individuals are “mentally tough.”  Does that mean the “mentally tough” person focuses only on the task and nothing else?
Mental state as defined in AMP IT UP is a condition.  It is a balance of eagerness to learn, a mind void of unnecessary thought, positive attitude, proper mental preparation, and a firm belief in the task and/or goal to be achieved.  It is a calm,  fully relaxed yet ready for action feeling.
Having the proper mental state is like setting the table for a meal for peak performance.
How do we achieve our best mental state to perform at our highest levels?
The proper mental state is not a one-size-fits-all concept.  We need to identify “triggers” that place us into a peak performance ready condition.  We need to understand how stress directly affects our mental state.  Stress can help to a point.  Stress is a basic ingredient for peak performance.  Stress is having a problem to solve: a presentation, a sports competition, a fancy dinner party, mid-term exams.  Too much stress and our mind and body begin to shut down.
To begin let us identify the negative stress factors in your life.  To prepare your mental state, you must eliminate previous disruptive thoughts and emotions.  You must abandon your fear of failure. First,
list activities or goals in which you have failed. Then take each of the above and write a clarifying statement of why you failed and what you were most worried about while executing the task.
Now you have an idea of thoughts and distractions that cause you not to perform at your highest levels.
When you feel these performance-inhibiting thoughts rising, you must replace them with new thoughts of success. You must visualize a positive end.  You must visualize your peak performance.
In essence, you have two performances to deal with: your mental turmoil and the task.

I was in a bridal shop the other day noticing how happy the young women looked shopping for the “dress of their dreams”. Their faces were absolutely glowing. The women engaged each other in conversation picking out dresses, showing off engagement rings and regaling details of their upcoming wedding receptions. But one bride in particular caught my eye. She seemed a little reserved, even shy, and really wasn’t involved in the banter of the other women. She picked out a dress she liked, though, and took it with her into the fitting room.

“Do The Right Thing” – How many times have you heard parents, teachers and others say this to you. But the question I put to you is how important “doing the right thing” is to you?

We all know what is the right thing to do in most situations, if not all. Yet doing the right thing is the hardest thing to do especially when it has negative consequences. Let’s consider a few situations and see how you would react:

Many people suffer loneliness across the globe; they sit beside their window and feel the loneliness without realizing countless people roaring in front of them. Everyone seeks a good companion to share their feelings; to gain some confidence and to achieve their goals. But somehow they fail to realize how they can be a good companion to someone else. Anyway, good companion is must for achieving some great things. But how many of us really got at least anyone like that. Though someone can play good part in our life we can’t be so sure we will get someone like that in future; at the same time if they turn down after some time it’ll affect us more worst. It’s a fact that people may get changed over some period.

Each of us are living, breathing human beings made of flesh and blood. All of us also have feelings and emotions. In addition, our Maker has blessed us with talents. Some of us are aware of these talents, some of us are made aware of these talents because they have been noticed by others and in quite a few of us these talents are still latent.

Also, the honest truth is that each of us is unique and irreplaceable. You’ve been specially chosen to spend a length of time on this planet, and that’s the plan for you, whether you accept it or not.

Recycling: A Hard Habit to Break

Recycling is a hard habit to break. Once you get into the habit of not throwing your waste into the garbage, recycling becomes automatic. Pretty soon you’ll find it almost physically impossible to throw a recyclable item into any receptacle other than your recycling bin. But how do you get to the stage of not having to constantly remind yourself that what’s just left your hands for the garbage should’ve made its way to the recycling pile.

Mindset and posture are two terms we hear a lot of in the network marketing and direct sales world…but what exactly do these two terms mean?

Terminology that is thrown around loosely on conference calls and seminars but not fully understood tends to leave people in mystery and unable to take action. Therefore I thought I would take a little time to clarify some things.

First of all, mindset and posture are definitely not one in the same. Mindset has to do with your thoughts and considerations about things, your decisions, and your postulates, while posture has to do with how you carry yourself and how you are perceived by others.

They both serve as really great evidence that innate ability is NOT a very important factor in achieving success. When we realize that and take it to heart, we are encouraged to believe that we can indeed accomplish ANYTHING if we are willing to do the work involved, and that knowledge provides us with the motivation we need to pursue our goals with confidence and enthusiasm.

Princeton University defines “motivation” as “The psychological feature that arouses an organism to action toward a desired goal; the reason for the action; that which gives purpose and direction to behavior”. Frederick Irving Herzberg showed that to truly motivate employees - that is, to arouse an ‘organism’ to action, you need to create conditions that make the organism feel fulfilled at work. Herzberg was a noted psychologist who became one of the most influential names in business management. His book “One More Time, How Do You Motivate Employees?” has sold over a million copies and was the most requested article from the Harvard Business Review.
